High-Performance Rotor Lobe Pump

Rotor pump, also known as rotary lobe pump, three-lobe pump, or sole pump, is a highly efficient positive displacement pump. When the two simultaneous reverse rotating rotors (with 2-4 gears) revolve, it produces suction force at the inlet (vacuum), which intakes the material delivered, providing stable and precise transport for various media.

Technology: Advanced Lobe Rotation

Rotor Type Options

1. Single Lobed Rotor

Suitable for conveying media containing large granular materials. It features a low breaking rate for solids, though it has higher pulsation and lower pressure compared to other types.

2. Two-Lobed Rotor

Also called Butterfly Rotor. Ideal for small and medium-size granular materials. Provides low breaking rates and slightly pulsating flow.

3. Three-Lobed Rotor

The most widely used rotor. It offers a larger volume for transferred materials and higher performance across all parameters, with a moderate impact on particulates.

4. Multi-Lobed Rotor (4-12)

Designed for maximum stability. As the quantity of vanes increases, the flow becomes more stable, though it has a smaller transfer volume and higher breaking rate for particles.

Frequently Asked Questions
What materials can the rotor lobe pump handle?
The pump is designed to handle a wide range of media, from low to high viscosity (up to 2,000,000 Cp), including slurries with up to 70% solids, and gas-liquid-solid mixtures.
Which rotor type is best for large particles?
The Single Lobed Rotor is most suitable for media containing large granular materials, as it has the lowest breaking rate for such particles.
Is the pump easy to maintain?
Yes, the design allows for easy installation and disassembly, making it convenient for cleaning and maintenance with very few wearing parts.
What are the main construction materials?
Parts in contact with the medium are made of AISI316L stainless steel, while other parts are AISI304. Sealing is typically made from EPDM.
Can the flow rate be adjusted?
Yes, by using a VFD (Variable Frequency Drive), the flow can be adjusted at will, allowing the pump to function as a metering pump.
What is the temperature range for these pumps?
The pump can operate in temperatures ranging from -50 °C to 250 °C depending on the configuration and sealing material.
